FAQ

WHY 1%?

Pledge-based giving is fast becoming the most popular way to give back. By making a public pledge to LKTBF, you're better able to: (1) hold yourself accountable to your intention to give back and (2) inspire those around you to follow in your footsteps. 1% may seem like a small figure, yet it stands to make a big difference. By setting the minimum pledge percentage at just 1%, we also reduce financial barriers to entry and make the movement accessible and affordable for everyone.
WHY VOLLEYBALL?

Today, VB is the No.2 most popular team sport with over 770 million fans worldwide. Being a team sport is vital for individual growth and the development of society as a whole: VB is a social game as players have to count on teammates to score and win. VB encourages personal development, being easy to learn but hard to master; the sport makes players eager for continuous improvement. VB is the worlds' most gender-equal sport, allowing for professional careers for both females and males alike. VB does not require much to play, just a ball and a few friends. VB establishes in players the fundamental values of adherence to rules, fairness, and sportsmanship. For these reasons, VB aims to become the number one sport that serves the needs of families through social development and humanitarian programs.
HOW DO I CALCULATE MY 1%?

Your pledge is calculated based on your annual salary if you are an individual or net revenues if you are a business. Private individual example: If you earned an annual (pre tax) salary EUR 50,000 in 2022 and pledged 1% to LKTBF, you would donate EUR 500 to Legends in 2023. Business example: If your company generated net revenues of EUR 1 million in 2022 and pledged 1% to LKTBF, you would donate EUR 10,000 to Legends in 2023.
IS MY PLEDGE FOREVER?

No. The pledge is based on a gentleman's agreement between you and LKTBF. While we expect you to honour our agreement, there is no legal obligation for you to do so. You're free to walk away at any time. No questions asked.
CAN I CHANGE MY PLEDGE PERCENTAGE?

Yes. You're welcome to change your pledge amount at any time.
HOW LONG DOES MY MEMBERSHIP LAST?

Your Legends membership becomes official once we receive your first donation and will remain active for as long as you continue to honour the pledge. If you decide Legends isn't for you, you're welcome to walk away at any stage along the journey.
